A bream is a deep-bodied, flattened FISH
Abramis brama of the carp family, they can
grow upto about 50cm (1.6ft). They are
typically found in lowland rivers across
Europe. The sea-breams are also deep-bodied
flattened fish, but belong to the family
Sparidae, and are unrelated to the true
breams. The red sea-bream Pagellus bogaraveo
up to 45cm (1½ft), is heavily exploited as a
food fish in the Mediterranean.
